Community Engagement: Darwin Safety Expo
On 18 April 2026, the Territory Community Safety Coordination Centre (TCSCC) attended the Neighbourhood Watch NT Darwin Safety Expo at the Territory Netball Stadium, a free, community-focused event promoting safety and crime prevention. The expo featured interactive workshops, emergency services demonstrations, and family-friendly activities designed to build a safer and more connected community.
TCSCC engaged directly with the public, explaining our role within the community and providing guidance on when to call 000, Police Assistance on 131 444, or other support services. Children participated in scenario-based learning, while adults raised enquiries about noisy neighbours, home security, break-ins, and police response times.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with the community and support local safety initiatives.
