On Friday 27 March, Daily Patrollers from Darwin, Palmerston and Litchfield met in person with Amity and NT Health to strengthen coordinated responses to Volatile Substance Use (VSU).
Lindsey Newman from Amity introduced a new online reporting portal for Volatile Substance Use and explained how frontline reporting supports targeted community responses.
Sam Crameri from NT Health outlined how to refer individuals that may be assessed under the Volatile Substance Abuse Prevention Act 2005.
The meeting was well attended, reflecting a strong shared commitment across agencies to proactive, coordinated community safety efforts.
The in‑person format allowed for open discussion, increased knowledge and relationship building - all essential elements in tackling complex social issues such as VSU.
A big thank you to Amity and NT Health for joining us. We’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another in‑person meeting in the coming months.
