Cross agency community engagement

This collaborative effort aimed to enhance community safety and provide an opportunity for local residents, customers and business owners to discuss concerns and seek advice.

The engagement saw representatives from each agency working together to provide a visible presence, offer support services, and engage with the community. The TCSCC, which focuses on public safety and reducing anti-social behaviour, coordinated the event. The City of Darwin Assertive Outreach team provided assistance to vulnerable individuals, while NT Police ensured a secure environment for all attendees.

Community members had the opportunity to interact with agency representatives, receive information on safety initiatives, and access support services. The event was well-received, with many locals expressing appreciation for the proactive approach to community safety.

Assistant Commissioner Janelle Tonkin: “These joint efforts underscore the commitment of agencies to work together to create a safer and more supportive environment for all residents of Darwin.”
